I am Summer! I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UC Davis. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and relationship challenges.

I am especially passionate about working with children and families. I believe children learn, communicate, and process emotions through play, creativity, and connection. My approach incorporates play-based and experiential interventions to help children build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, increase confidence, and navigate challenges in a way that feels natural and engaging. I strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment where children of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities feel seen, valued, and understood.

I also enjoy supporting adolescents and adults as they navigate life transitions, stress, anxiety, relationship concerns, and personal growth. In addition to my clinical experience, I come from a competitive athletic background, which allows me to support athletes and high-achieving individuals facing performance pressure, identity development, and mental wellness challenges.

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, but you do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone. My goal is to create a warm, collaborative space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences, build on their strengths, and develop meaningful tools for growth and healing.
